This program was founded to lend a helping hand to those who need it most people with low or limited income. Two in three Americans don't have enough savings to pay for a $500 car repair according to Bankrate.com People with low or limited income need to keep their vehicle's running at an affordable price. A car is the most important investment many people will make during their lives. Without affordable quality car care it causes many problems like non running cars sitting on streets, air pollution, traffic safety, financial distress if the vehicle is a family’s only means of transportation to work, Imagine having to have to choose whether to absorb the costs of a major repair, or extra cost of getting to work to feed your family? Many have to make this choice. The K.E.R.I. program will help alleviate this problem by fixing the vehicles of people with VERIFIED LOW income or on SSI- SSD ONLY! This program is designed to be environmental & self-sustaining.
Our goal is 5-fold plan.
1. Provide affordable maintenance to vehicles to people who are either on a fixed income or food stamps to help them maintain a car that is reliable by giving them a 25% discount on mechanical repair services they normally could not afford.
2. To provide an education about how vehicles work and maintenance practices. This emboldens the community to come together and learn, how to fix common issues, and saving potentially thousands in repair costs throughout the life of a vehicle.
3. To provide road safe vehicles & affordable used car’s through our vehicle donation program to low-income families this will allow families without a vehicle family not rely on costly taxi or even public transit in a pandemic.
4. To decrease the environmental impact of poor running vehicles of leaking fluids, Smog, and proper recycling all parts and fluids.
5. To help Vehicle repair service partners to obtain NEW customers that normally wouldn't have and can retain after they are off the Project Ke.R.I. by great services done and familiarity with the service provider. This program will allow for parents to bring their kids to school, doctors, or even the park in hopes to create a better quality of life. It will provide meaningful transport to work or to help find a better job and become a more productive member of society. This will help reduce the environmental impact, cleaner air, less auto fluid earth contamination, reducing fuel cost and waste. By Our self-sustaining model this program will be able to truly give back to the community by helping keeping costs low and help them to improve their life.
